NETPOINTS SPORTS PTY LTD is a Company registered in South Africa. (Registration Number 2023/773101/07). The company created and manages the website netpoints.co.za.
Definitions:
NETPOINTS - The tennis ranking system developed by NETPOINTS SPORTS PTY LTD
GUESTS - Anyone who visits the website. Guests can view player profiles and match history
USERS - Anyone who registers on the website by validating their email address.
MEMBERS - Users who have created a player profile which allows matches to be recorded
SUPERUSERS - USERS/MEMBERS who are able to load match results
Privacy Policy:
Our policy is to respect and protect the privacy of the users. NETPOINTS stores some user information which is given when a player profile is created. Email addresses and phone numbers will not be shared outside of the company. Contact details may be used to notify MEMBERS of tennis related events or information pertaining to NETPOINTS. MEMBERS should be aware that the following information is available for GUESTS to view:
- - Profile name (may be “real” or “pseudonym”)
- - Profile photo (if uploaded)
- - Gender
- - Right/Left hand
- - Date of Birth/Age
- - Location/Country of Residence
- - Match history
- - Ranking history and level
NETPOINTS makes use of cookies to keep the user logged in. NETPOINTS may make use of geolocation technology (IP based or mobile) to filter by default MEMBERS in the same location.
MEMBERS may update their profile at any time and NETPOINTS will remove their profile if requested by email. NETPOINTS may also remove a MEMBER’S profile due to inactivity, or as a result of misuse of the platform.
Matches counting towards rankings
- Any match which is arranged by a superuser (eg. Coach or Facilitator)
- Any match between two NETPOINTS players where:
- a. The match is part of a competitive tournament/league/championship, or
- b. Both players agree beforehand on the format (Sets/games/time)
Loading matches
Matches are loaded in 2 ways. Either by emailing a result to NETPOINTS, or by a SUPERUSER adding the result. SUPERUSER access is usually granted to coaches or tennis administrators so that they may quickly load matches relevant to their circles of influence. SUPERUSER access may be requested by anyone (email) and will be granted if the intended use aligns with NETPOINTS purposes. SUPERUSER access may be revoked at any time without notification. It is recommended that each club which uses NETPOINTS appoints a SUPERUSER who is responsible for loading all competitive matches within the club.
NETPOINTS makes no guarantee that the match history of all MEMBERS is correct - Its purpose is as a “social platform” rather than a formal or professional one. MEMBERS are encouraged to view their match history regularly, and notify NETPOINTS (email) of any errors.
Pools/Club ladders
The pools function allows clubs to create a dynamic ranking ladder of all their club-members. It is recommended that an administrator from the club manages the pool, adding and removing club-members as required.
Filters
The filters function allows the application of multiple filters simultaneously. This would allow for example a quick oversight of the ranking of females belonging to pool, over the age of 50.
Legal Terms

Terms of Use
NETPOINTS provides the Service on an 'as is' basis and makes no warranties of any kind with respect to the netpoints.co.za site and its contents. All content contained in the site is subject to change without notice. NETPOINTS reserves the right to change the terms and conditions applicable to the use of the site at any time. Such changes to the terms and conditions shall be effective immediately upon notice thereof on the site.
Fees
NETPOINTS was developed by tennis players and coaches, as a passion project to grow and connect tennis communities. The intention is to keep player MEMBERSHIP free. Revenue may be generated through advertising on the site, through NETPOINTS events, or through including value added services. Any party interested in advertising on the site may email NETPOINTS to discuss terms.
